Lots Of Bargains

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love charity shop shopping and browsing.

The last couple of weeks I’ve had some really good buys. I love a bargain, rummaging and knowing that your purchase goes to a good cause. The photos shows three good buys that I’ve had this week. Two really good craft books that cost less that £1 for them both. The grey check fabric was £2.50 for the huge piece. There’s about four yards of it and it’s around 60 inches wide. I’m not sure of the fibre content, it has some wool in it but not a big percentage. It’s nice and soft and cuddly.
I spent most of yesterday afternoon wondering what it had originally been bought for. A coat, suit, man’s dressing gown? Who knows, I do know that my imagination was running away with me when I wondered what to use it for. I will probably squeeze as much as possible out of it! I was thinking maybe a throw with crochet edging, cushion covers,a bag, a phone case, pouches, animals, cheeky monsters, the list goes on. It’s a good job it is a huge piece.

Oh well done! I do love a bargain and a bit of rummaging as well. I got a great stash of buttons a few months ago and last week got a Per Una £45 skirt for £4.95! In my size!
Your fabric is lovely. Great to get such a lot of it. It would make nice bags.
I can't wait to see the cheeky monsters. =)
